Throughout Shawn’s career, he has worked for major financial institutions, such as Prudential Assurance and London Life. He has worked in the United States, England and Canada.

From 2001-2005, Shawn was a Managing Partner in a DFSIN office, where he recruited and built a top performing centre. In 2006, Shawn joined Desjardins Insurance where he worked on many distribution and technology projects in various senior roles. In 2018, he left head office to return to his roots and purchase several DFSIN offices in South Western Ontario working with a strong team of over 80 advisors across the region.

He is a member of Advocis, Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC), Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and LIMRA RAG (previously GAMA).

Clarke entered the insurance business in 2006 and enjoyed five years as a life and health insurance advisor. In 2011 Clarke joined our firm where he entered a management role promoting and supporting new advisor development. He is actively involved in the training and support provided to new advisors during the early years of their career.

Clarke is a member of Advocis; a voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada, and GAMA Canada, an organization promoting the professional development needs of management in the financial services industry.

Dawn started working in financial services in 2002 with a strong passion to help people eliminate debt and get their finances on track.  Not long after, Dawn found herself providing full financial plans as a licensed insurance advisor for families as well as mentoring, training and leading a team of advisors. Dawn joined Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network in 2017 where she entered a management role to use these same skills to help advisors grow in their careers and serve families. Dawn is a proud member of Advocis and GAMA Canada.

Marco Levesque is a Business Development Manager at DFSIN Southwestern Ontario, where he has both a management and financial advisor role. As a manager within the region, Marco focusses on business development (i.e. selection, leadership, and development of new advisors), and also plays a significant role in process management.

As a life and health insurance advisor and mutual fund advisor, Marco has built a respected practice with valued clients since his entry into the industry in 2006.  His approach is based on a simple  but structured view of financial security planning, establishing a financial roadmap to ensure the financial security of his clients and their families.

Sonia joined DFSIN in 2008 and holds the respected Certified Financial Planner designation. She has her own practice of clients in the Kitchener-Waterloo region providing comprehensive financial planning services. As Branch Manager – Mutual Funds, her role is to oversee the mutual fund trades of other financial advisors ensuring that they match the client risk profile. Sonia is now living in Kitchener, but was born and raised in the Hamilton area and has also lived in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
