David Feldberg began his career with Laurentian Financial Services as an account representative in 1991 after graduating from Carleton University. He went on to be part of the first Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network financial centre in Ottawa in 2000 becoming sole owner two years later. In 2018, David purchased operations in Outaouais, QC and Atlantic Canada.

He volunteers with several charitable organizations including the Halifax Progress Club, Maplesoft Centre for Cancer Survivorship and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.

Owner of the largest franchise of Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network outside of Quebec, Al Roissl is a highly respected name in the industry with a career spanning thirty years. Al is also the donor of the George Brown College “Al Roissl Leadership in Financial Planning Award” and a participant, donor and fundraiser in the annual “Ride to Conquer Cancer” as part of the Desjardins Bolts Team.

With over 24 years of experience in the financial services business, Ted Girard is a seasoned leader who’s known for helping those around him succeed.  He’s led two Financial Centres in North York and Hamilton and spent the last two years leading an office in the MGA space. He holds the CFP, CLU, and CHS designations.

Ted is an industry contributor having been the President of GAMA which is the field leadership arm of Advocis. He was a breakout speaker at the Leadership and Management practices annual conference in Orlando and is currently the chairman of the LIMRA Research Advisory Group.  He’s also a regular writer for Advocis Forum. 

Clarke entered the insurance business in 2006 and enjoyed five years as a life and health insurance advisor. In 2011 Clarke joined our firm where he entered a management role promoting and supporting new advisor development. He is actively involved in the training and support provided to new advisors during the early years of their career.

Clarke is a member of Advocis; a voluntary professional membership association of financial advisors in Canada, and GAMA Canada, an organization promoting the professional development needs of management in the financial services industry.

Marco Levesque is a Business Development Manager at DFSIN Southwestern Ontario, where he has both a management and financial advisor role. As a manager within the region, Marco focusses on business development (i.e. selection, leadership, and development of new advisors), and also plays a significant role in process management.

As a life and health insurance advisor and mutual fund advisor, Marco has built a respected practice with valued clients since his entry into the industry in 2006.  His approach is based on a simple  but structured view of financial security planning, establishing a financial roadmap to ensure the financial security of his clients and their families.

Sonia joined DFSIN in 2008 and holds the respected Certified Financial Planner designation. She has her own practice of clients in the Kitchener-Waterloo region providing comprehensive financial planning services. As Branch Manager – Mutual Funds, her role is to oversee the mutual fund trades of other financial advisors ensuring that they match the client risk profile. Sonia is now living in Kitchener, but was born and raised in the Hamilton area and has also lived in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
